The phenomenon of overtourism has come into focus globally. Diffuse dissatisfaction among the population with certain forms of development of places and spaces sometimes leads to protests. It is advisable to take a closer look at these protests, as protest movements often have different roots, and can develop unintended dynamics. The SCoT webinar will take a look at recent protests in the Canary Islands to subsequently reflect on the definition of overtourism once again.
