Mr. Xu Jing is a former director of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and currently an independent tourism specialist. Xu Jing began his career in tourism at the China National Tourism Administration where he was in charge of international relations. He joined the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in 1992 as Officer to the Regional Representation for Asia and the Pacific. Over the years, his areas of responsibilities included the preparation and the organisation of most UNWTO’s technical and institutional activities in Asia and the Pacific. He coordinated and supervised numerous UNWTO technical cooperation projects and sectorial support missions on subjects of contemporary interest to the tourism community of Asian countries. He served as Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific of UNWTO from Dec 2003 to Jan 2020. In addition to his regional responsibilities, he had worked as UNWTO’s Executive Secretary of the General Assembly and the Executive Council from Jan 2014 to Dec 2017. |
PhD, Professor, Doctoral Tutor, Changjiang Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education of China, He is currently working at the School of Tourism Management of Sun Yat-sen University. He is also Director of the Monitoring Center for UNWTO Sustainable Tourism Observatories, Member of UNWTO’s Panel of Experts, President of Tourism Education Branch of China Tourism Association, Second Vice President of the International Academy for the Study of Tourism, Director of the Expert Committee of the “Higher Education Tourism Alleviation Alliance”. His expertise are in Tourism planning, tourism alleviation, sustainable tourism, theme parks, etc. |
Professor Tzung-Cheng (TC) Huan is the President of Tainan University of Technology, Taiwan and a Professor at the Department of Hotel Management . He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Tourism Recreation Research (Taylor & Francis, UK). His research interests are tourism marketing, hospitality management, research methodology. Professor Huan has served on the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization) Panel of Tourism Experts since 2009. He has been honored by the 2011-2012 Outstanding Reviewer Award from Cornell Hospitality Quarterly (SSCI), 2013 Highly Commended Award and 2017 Citations of Excellence Award at the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence. |
PhD, Professor, professor of School of Post-Disaster Reconstruction and Management of Sichuan University-Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Doctoral Tutor. He is currently the Editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Tourism Anthropology, member of the International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences (IUAES) and the Decision Sciences Institute of USA (DSI), member of Hengduan Mountains Club, Japan, member of Tourism Geography Committee of China Geographical Society, deputy director of Historical Geography Committee of Sichuan Geographical Society, director of Sichuan Tourism Society and deputy director of Academic Committee, Secretary-General of China Beautiful Rural Area Research Center of Sichuan University. He also established International Center for Interdisciplinary Culture Heritage & Tourism Research, and served as the Chinese director. |
Mr. Kang has experience of working as MICE and Event Planning sales manager in Grand Hyatt Shanghai for 2 years. He managed International Chamber of Commerce events, high-level international conferences, car shows, IPO, and off-site gala event with clients such as Porsche and Land Rover. He joined JTB Tourism Research & Consulting Co. in 2020 as the newest member of the team. |
Dr Yang Jingjing has over 10 years’ international working experience, in UK, China and New Zealand. She has worked not only in academics, but also in government, tourism industry, tourism planning and consultancy. Working with multiple stakeholders in multiple fields in multiple countries equip her with leadership qualities and skills, international thinking and working approach, and the establishment of collaboration with different stakeholders including (national, regional and local) governments, universities (China and overseas), research institutes, tourism and hospitality businesses, and others. She is currently working at Macao Institute for Tourism Studies. |
