A development professional and a marketer turned environmentalist. Lia used to dream of working for a global organization and was academically trained to turn people into impulsive buyers. She learnt the hard way that change must be made locally, and that conscious consumption is a way of life. She believes that scale is important to provide space for conversations between epistemologies to take place. Although drawing primarily from post-development theory, she does not seek for radical transformation. She believes that any grass root initiative, even the most radical one, must work within the constraint of the dominant system |
