Siamak Seyfi is an associate professor of tourism geography at the University of Oulu, Finland, and a visiting professor at Taylor’s University, Malaysia. He holds a PhD in tourism geography from Pantheon-Sorbonne University, France.
His research takes an interdisciplinary approach, focusing on tourism geography, critical tourism studies, tourism impacts, crises, and resilience. His work is grounded in critical theories and employs qualitative methodologies.
He has published widely on the effects of sanctions on tourism and resilience in leading tourism journals. He has also authored and edited several books, including Tourism, Sanctions, and Boycotts, published by Routledge. Additionally, he serves on the editorial boards of several leading tourism journals.
